One Year Older and Wiser Too!

Abbi's Birthday weekend celebration. We got to have two parties for our baby. Hey she is our first and it is her first bday. We get to go wild I think. It started Saturday we went to grandma and grandpa C's for a party. We had Abbi's favorite messy foods. We also let her eat with out a bib and feed herself. It was great fun. We had Spaghetti, mixed veggies (peas, carrots, green beans and corn) bananas, and garlic bread.

Then to give little tummies a rest we opened presents. Abbi really likes wrapping paper! But we found it hard to keep her interest with unwrapping when there are so many fun toys.

We then went back for cake. On Kati's first birthday my mom made Red Velvet Chocolate cake...makes a great mess. So we did the same for Abbi.......Here she is blowing out her candle

and enjoying the cake. Kurt is helping her blow.

All done!!!!!! What a mess!

Day two: At grandma and grandpa H

For dinner we had chicken and mashed potatoes. Abbi shares her birthday with her cousin so we were able to celebrate with him.

Cake number 2: This one was a Chocolate Volcano Cake made by Abbi's Aunt. It was really tasty and Abbi wants to share with you.

All done time for a bath. It was a great birthday.

Abbi had a great birthday! Thank you to all who helped us have a good day. We love our families and all they do for us. We also are so excited to have another year with our little girl. She is such a joy. Somethings that are so memorable about this year are Abbi's blessing and her great smile. She is so good at mimicking us and I love to call her my mini me. Her favorite words are Dad, mama, hey, duck, Abbi, and YUM YUM! She loves to blow kisses and play with doggies. She likes to meet new people and loves to wave at strangers. (I will tell you about that later) She is still learning to walk. But we aren't rushing that too quickly. She always has a smile for everyone. Thank you again. We love you all!
